With the unforeseen break in the Serie A season, we’ve been missing our beloved Milan. No doubt, it is not the Milan we used to watch years ago, but you cannot rule the heart. To overcome this, we’ve decided to rank the top 10 Matches in our club’s history.
10- Serie A, 11/05/2001, Inter – Milan 0-6
Let’s start with a match that didn’t bring any trophy to the Rossoneri’s cabinet, but still made the history of the Milan derby: Inter-Milan dated May 2001. In a transitional period for the Rossoneri, from the Centenary Scudetto to the Champions League lifted in 2003, the two Milan teams were playing solely for glory. In the second minute AC Milan was already one up, the goal was scored by Comandini, who doubled 15 minutes later. In the second half, Milan steps it up another level and scores with Giunti, Shevchenko (double) and Sergihno, writing a beautiful page in the history of the “stracittadina”. The most tenacious supporters will remember this derby, not only for the result but also for the chant created days after to make fun of the bitter rivals.

A causa dello stop della Serie A dovuto al corona virus, non abbiamo più la possibilità di guardare il nostro amato Milan. Certo, non sarà sicuramente il Milan che abbiamo ammirato negli anni passati, ma si sa, al cuor non si comanda. Per sopperire a questa mancanza abbiamo deciso di fare una classifica delle 10 partite più importanti della storia rossonera.
10- Serie A, 11/05/2001, Inter – Milan 0-6
Iniziamo con una partita che non ha portato nessun trofeo nella bacheca rossonera, ma che ha comunque fatto la storia del derby di Milano: Inter-Milan dell’11 Maggio 2001. In un periodo di passaggio per i rossoneri dallo scudetto del Centenario alla Champions League del 2003, le due squadre di Milano si affrontano alla trentesima giornata in un derby che mette in palio solo la gloria. Al secondo minuto il Milan andava già in vantaggio con Comandini, il quale raddoppierà poi al 19’. Nel secondo tempo il Milan dilaga e segna con Giunti, Shevchenko (doppietta) e Serginho, entrando nella storia della stracittadina. I tifosi più accaniti, oltre al largo risultato, si ricorderanno anche il famoso coro creato poco dopo.
