YOUTH UPDATE - 02 /01/ 2019

The 2018/19 Campionato Primavera 1 season has not been kind on Milan’s under 19 squad, rewarding them with only 2 wins from 13 matches. A 9 game winless streak sees the outfit placed in last position on the table, battling relegation.

In spite of this disappointing campaign, there has been one shining light in the youth team, Daniel Maldini. Breaking tradition from his legendary father, Paolo, and grandfather, Cesare, the 17 year old plays as a striker, regularly finding the back of the net.

With strikers in Milan’s first team struggling to capitalise on opportunities lately, could another Maldini be Gennaro Gattuso’s answer in the future?
