Rossonere Update 13-11-20

Updated: Nov 24, 2020

Maurizio Ganz’s ladies’ team latest encounter was a non-easy 2-1 win against Napoli. It was a hard-fought game for the Rossonere as they saw Vitale being sent off after being booked twice. However, captain Giacinti rose to the occasion by scoring both goals that secured the 3 points and the second place with 18 points.

This month saw the addition of Verónica Boquete to the Milan Femminile squad. “Vero” adds a considerable amount of experience to the team, having played professional football all around the globe and captained her country Spain during their first ever World Cup appearance in 2015. On a personal note, she became the first Spanish female footballer to release an autobiography in 2013. Two years later, she started a petition so that the world-renowned football game FIFA includes women’s teams in the game itself. This was successful and the FIFA 16 issue saw the introduction of 12 female international teams for the first time ever.

The Rossonere’s next match is against Roma on the 15th of November. Roma are currently 6 points behind the Rossonere, sitting in the 5th place. Roma Women’s last match was a thrilling 2-2 draw against Fiorentina Femminile.
