The first leg of the Italian Cup quarter-finals between Sassuolo and Milan ended in a 1-1 draw. They will meet again in two weeks at the Vismara. All in all, it was a fair result, as the match was controlled by the Rossonere as they built more play but Sassuolo probably had the best chances, an excellent Korenčiová stopping them. The first goal was scored by the usual Valentina Giacinti at the end of the first half. However, Davina Philtjens responded in the injury time for the neroverdi, sealing the draw.
The next match in the Serie A Femminile sees our ladies play against San Marino. The Rossonere hope to continue with the winning streak that will result in 6 consecutive wins. The match will take place at lunchtime Sunday 7th February at the Vismara.
In other news, Miriam Longo had to undergo surgery in her right shoulder. There is no tentative date for her return as it stands. FORZA MIRIAM!
