On Saturday the 4th of May, Milan’s Primavera side came up against 10th placed Empoli U19s. A slow start saw the boys a goal down at half time. A lack of discipline added to the teams struggles with Tiago Djalo, Marco Romano Frigerio and Alessandro Sala all receiving yellow cards in the second half. Despite this, defender Tommaso Merletti secured a 1-1 finish after heading in Gabrele Capanni’s free kick.
In other news, emerging 19-year-old goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari has committed to Milan until 2023! Plizzari has been stuck behind first team goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this season although has shown promise in the Primavera league.
What’s your opinion? Does Milan have room for another talented young goalkeeper going into the future?
