Youth Update 17/6/2019
Star 19-year-old Milan goalkeeper, Alessandro Plizzari has told reporters that following the FIFA U-20 World Cup he will make a decision about where his future lies. Plizzari has stated that he wants to play, feeling that he benefited more when getting first team exposure whilst on loan at Ternana rather than in Milan’s Primavera side
He is currently Milan’s third choice goalkeeper, with Gianluigi Donnarumma and Pepe Reina being selected over him. Last season he did not make a single first team appearance, playing 6 times for the club in the Primavera side.
“I hope to have a few chances to play at Milan too. It’ll be tough, but I like a challenge and I know how much I can give,” Plizzari told reporters.
With rumours building that Milan may be forced into selling first choice keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to help balance the books, Plizzari’s dreams of first team selection may come true in the near future.
Do you think it is still too early to part ways with Donnarumma and go with Plizzari?
