Player Ratings: Celtic 1-3 Milan 22-10-2020

A comfortable outing at Celtic Park saw Milan begin their Europa League group stage campaign with a win.

The player ratings are:

Donnarumma -6 not much to do when most of Celtic shots were off target. Poor defending resulting in the goal rather than his performance.

Dalot -6.5 Strong performance at right back. Good to see that we have depth in the right back position.

Romagnoli -6.5 Finding match fitness still, didn’t do anything wrong and help the defence well with Kjaer.

Kjaer- 7 The great Dane performed well again. At the times the defence looked very comfortable even when Celtic has a strong run in the second half.

Hernadez- 7.5 Worked like a horse tonight, his movement on an athletic level up and down the pitch was amazing. Assisted the second goal and played well overall.

Krunic- 7 Tidy finish with his head for the opener. Ran out the 90minutes, showed ability to track back to assist the defence on numerous occasions tonight.

Tonali-5.5 Sloppy passing at the times in the first half. His usual awareness was not there and was quite slow tonight.

Kessie -7 Did his job, worked hard as he usually does and showed his presence all around the pitch.

Ibrahimovic -6 No doppietta tonight for Ibra. Worked hard off the ball to bring the ball down to team mates but at times he wasn’t interested in running after balls that were not at his feet.

Diaz-7.5 Lovely finish for the second after working hard up the pitch. He is a joy to watch on the ball and will prove to be a big asset to the team as the season progresses.

Castillejo-6.5 Much better performance. Looked comfortable on the ball and wasn’t frustrated. Great assist to Krunić with a delightful cross.

Leao -6 Came on when Celtic started to control the game. Didn’t do any wrong but didn’t have a huge impact.

Bennacer- 6 Very nice ball control and his tidy footwork helped produce the third goal. Like Leao came on at a time when Celtic were in charge of the game.

Saelemaekers- 6 Was not going to rate him because he only played 14minutes but he assisted the last goal. Shows that we have depth to change a game if we are being challenged by the opposition.

Petter Hauge -6 Second goal in the Europa League this season but his first in the right colours. Again great to see the depth we have off the bench which will be important come next year when we are challenging in Europe and domestically.
