New Head of Youth Sector?

Youth Update – 3/6/2019

If reports are to be correct and Maldini gets his list of demands, it seems Milan will be welcoming Angelo Carbone (pictured) as their new Head of the Youth Sector.

Carbone bounced between many clubs during his career, including two short stints at Milan. The former Milan player has had a range of jobs since hanging up the boots including as Sporting Director of Pro Patria and as a Scout at Milan.

If Carbone does take the job, he will replace veteran Mario Baretta. Baretta has a long list of managerial experience, including at Brescia, Parma, Siena and Chievo Verona. He had also been Youth Co-Ordinator at Cagliari Caclio prior to joining Milan.

Despite recent relegation, our youth academy is still bursting with potential players that could hit the first team in the near future. Hopefully the decision progresses this development and allows us to see talent like Frank Tsadjout, Alessandro Plizzari, Daniel Maldini and Gabriele Capanni coming through soon.

No matter which way Milan end up going, lets hope that it sees our Youth Sector re-emerge to what it needs to be – the best.
