Monthly Recap

What a fantastic month it has been for the club. Another month gone without a defeat and as October finishes we currently sit 23 matches unbeaten in all competitions, with 18 of those being victories. An amazing feat for us given early last season it looked like our ship had sunk and we were on our way to becoming another fallen giant. We have had 3 Matchdays in the league in the month of October taking 7 points with our dropped points coming from a controversial match against Roma in what subsequently led to the referee who officiated the match being suspended.

New Players Recap

We have seen some game time from most of our new signings this season & it appears our recruiting has been a success with the likes of Brahim Diaz instantly making an impact & Sandro Tonali slowly showing us why he is such a highly rated young talent, Diogo Dalot has also had some play time in the Europa League in which he scored his first goal for the club with his first ever shot! Stefano Pioli does face some decision making issues though with many players fighting for similar positions and none seemingly willing to put in a half-hearted performance and hand their spot over.

Legend of the month - Kakha Kaladze

The most expensive Georgian Footballer of all time & worth every penny. Kaladze signed with Milan in 2001 after a successful stint in Ukraine with Dynamo Kyiv, and almost instantly he was a regular starter in a tough team to crack into. A natural defender he started his career with Milan as a defensive midfielder, however was soon moved back to his more comfortable spot in the defence more focused in as a left back. This meant game time for Kakha would be harder to come by having the likes of one Paolo Maldini to compete with.

In 2003 he became the first Georgian player to win the Champions league in that monumental win against Juventus which resulted in him having a stamp with his face on it issued in Georgia.

Overall Kakha wore the Milan shirt 284 times scoring 13 times and playing a vital role in many many victories. Due to his successes with the club he will always hold a place in the hearts of the Milanisti.
