Milan v Bologna Player Ratings

Donnarumma – 7.5 Bologna didn’t challenge Gigio too many times but when they did he had it covered. Solid game as usual.

Calabria – 9 Continued to show Pioli and Maldini why he deserves to be Milan’s RB this season. Provided some excellent link up play going forward and limited the influence of Barrow. Fantastic game for Davide.

Kjaer - 7 Solid game from the big Dane.

Gabbia – 7 Bologna didn’t pose too many challenges for the young Italian but when they did he did a reasonable job at keeping them at bay.

Hernandez – 8.5 Provided an excellent assist for the first of Ibrahimovic’s goals.

Kessie – 7.5 Nothing special from Kessie today, he did what he needed to do.

Bennacer – 8 Strong work rate and passing from Bennacer particularly in the second half. Won the penalty that lead to Ibrahimovic’s second goal.

Calhanoglu – 7 Posed questions on the Bologna defence however generally fell just short of making significant impact. Slightly below the form that we’ve come to expect from him but still a solid game.

Castillejo – 3.5 A poor game for Castillejo. Pioli ended up subbing him off for the second half.

Rebic – 7.5 Was threatening for most of the match but wasn’t as dangerous as usual. Seemed to slow down in the second half.

Ibrahimovic – 9 A new season but the same Zlatan. Two goals that sealed the game off for us. Probably should have had the hat trick goal from his 1v1 with Skorupksi.

Saelemaekers – 8 A good decision from Pioli to bring on. Had instant impact and linked up with Ibrahimovic well.

Diaz - 7 In his first Serie A match, Brahim demonstrated the excellent foot skills we’ve heard so much about. Limited time prevented him from having any real impact. Good start.

Krunic – NA Tonali – NA Duarte – NA
