Milan Prepares Youth Academy Raid

It is being reported that Milan is preparing to poach Europe's best and brightest youth talent in the coming summer transfer period.

Despite Milan Sporting Director Frederic Massara voicing his support for a balanced transfer target age profile, a consensus is beginning to form that club owners Elliot Management Corporation and CEO Ivan Gazidis are intent on leading a youth revolution at the club.

Let's take a look at some of these targets:

Wesley Fofana

According to, Milan has already had an offer turned down by French Club Saint Etienne however will continue to pursue the 19 year old. The centre-back, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, has so far made 23 first team appearances (across all competitions) this season. Interestingly, Fofana has also been a target of Ralf Rangick at RB Leipzig for some time.

Ezequiel Barco

The 21 year old left-winger currently plays for Atlanta in the MLS. Barco gained attention in Europe after a string of stand out performances at the most recent U-20 World Cup. The Argentine stated last month that Manchester City star Sergio Aguero encouraged him to "make the jump" and move to a European club. Atlanta are demanding €25 million for him.

Folarin Balogun (pictured)

Balogun has been lighting it up for Arsenal, scoring 28 goals from 28 games last season in their U-18 side. 'Goal' has reported that Arsenal failed to reach a contract agreement with the teenager so are prepared to let him go. He has scored 10 goals from 15 games in Premier League 2 this season.
