Legend of the Month - July '20 - Andriy Shevchenko

Updated: Sep 28, 2020

Andriy Shevchenko is one of the greatest players to ever wear the Milan Shirt. The Ukrainian International is our 2nd highest Goalscorer with 175 behind only the great Gunnar Nordahl, and if not for signing for Chelsea for a brief stint he would likely be the greatest goalscorer in the clubs history.

As a Milan player Shevchenko won the 2004 Ballon d’Or amongst an abundance of other accolades & awards. He is 23rd all time in appearances for the club sitting at 322 caps.

The current Milan side would give anything to have someone even half the player Shevchenko was, but unfortunately he is a one in a generation player, we were just lucky enough to see him through the 2000s wearing our shirt.
